Jon is from Australia, based in NYC and he is an entrepreneur and veteran of over 20 years in the capital markets.

The earlier part of his career was spent at UBS, and later Citigroup in Sydney where he was Director and Head of Principal Trading operations.

After significant success in these roles, Jon was hired by Millennium Management as a Portfolio Manager in New York to spearhead a new Asian focused strategy, one that he and his team grew to over US$1bn in under 4 years.

In 2014,  he and his partners left Millennium to launch Brasidas Investment Management, a boutique firm that today manages over $150M of assets and services some of the worlds largest pension, endowments, fund of funds and sovereign wealth funds.

He specializes in cross border special situations and has extensive experience in corporate finance, risk management, hedge fund structuring and hedging strategies.

Motivated and highly experienced financial markets investor, leader and entrepreneur, with a long track record of benchmark outperformance in the Asian equity markets. Broad and deep expertise in risk, trading and portfolio construction whilst in the employ of some of the worlds largest financial institutions. Proven experience in hedge fund formation, operation and personnel management. Extensive understanding of hedge fund tax, compliance, regulatory, marketing and finance issues.
